Asian American International Film Festival (FALA New York Co-Sponsored Event)

FALA New York is proud to partner with the Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) this year!

The AAIFF was established in 1978 by CineVision and is the natin's first and longest running festival of its kind. The festival specializes in showcasing the best independent Asian, Asian diaspora, and Pacific Islander cinema.

This year, the festival runes from July 30 to August 9, 2026 at various locations in New York City.

As a Community Partner, FALA New York members are eligible for a discount and this year FALA New York is highlighting two Filipino films: (1) Almost American (see  Almost American (Short 2026) - IMDb); (2) Veterano (see Veterano – 2026 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival). 

Both films sit squarely at the intersection of Filipino American history and social justice, immigration, war and generational reckoning.
